Return Policy for SVMT Products
SVMT warrants for the SVMT Medical Display Products, branded as TOTOKU or EYE-Q to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 36 months, commencing on the date of sale by an authorised dealer or system integrator.
A warranty time of 36 months is valid for SVMT products. The warranty period for the picture tube of a CRT based display monitor is limited to 18 months. The warranty period for the backlight of an LCD based display monitor is limited to 24 months.
SVMT warrants for the SVMT Medical Display Products, branded as TOTOKU to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 24 months, commencing on the date of sale by an authorised dealer or system integrator.
Precondition for this arrangement is that the serial number of the monitor is stated on the dated purchase invoice, issued by an authorised dealer or system integrator. If this precondition should not be given, the warranty time starts at the production date of the monitor plus a cooling-off period of 3 months.
SVMT will provide the level of service and support expected for High End Display products. However there is no obligation under this warranty in the following cases:
(a) Any defect caused by freight damage, modification, alteration, abuse, misuse,
accident, incorrect installation, disaster, faulty maintenance or improper repair
by third party other than Rein EDV or Rein EDV´s authorised service center
(b) Any deformation, discoloration, warping or whatsoever due to normal deterioration
of the product.
(c) Any incompatibility of the products with subsequent technical innovations or regulations.
(d) Any defect caused by burning of the screen phosphor, scratches on the surface and/or
the blistering, peeling or flaking of the coating on the CRT tube.
(e) Any burn-in defect caused by static images.
(f) Any defect of the product caused by external equipment.
(g) Any defect caused by abnormal operating conditions, like e.g. dust, smoke,
faults or variations of the electric power supply or circuits.
(h) Any defect within the limits of
tolerances of the guaranteed characteristics.
(i) Any defect of the product on which the original serial number has been altered or removed.
DOA Service
On a rare occasion that a newly purchased SVMT Medical Display Monitor is delivered in non-working condition SVMT kindly asks the user to inform the technical hotline by phone +49-2156-4949-12 or by e-mail Helpline@SVMT.org In this case please inform the support people about the relevant dates like product’s original serial no., the date of delivery and the name of your dealer / system integrator.
SVMT works very hard to avoid such but unfortunaly a situation like this arises from time to time. SVMT will provide you with a new product as long as the product is considered "current" and units are available. Please do not delay the claim for replacement. DOA can be accepted only up to max. 14 days after shipment from the stock of SVMT.
Warranty Service
In the event that the user finds a misfunction of the product please inform the technical hotline by phone +49-2156-4949-12 or by e-mail Support@SVMT.org.
In this case please inform the support people about the relevant dates like product’s original serial no., the date of delivery, the name of your dealer / system integrator and the defect which you recognised on the screen.
The technical support will attempt to correct minor issues which might be causing the product failure by phone and support representative is unable to resolve the issue, a Return Material Authorisation Number (RMA No.) will be given to the user. The service requires the consumer to either carry-in or ship the display monitor to SVMT or an authorised service center at the consumer's expense, except in the case of the DOA replacement service.
This expense needs to be prepaid by the consumer. Insurance for transportation is required. The consumer must provide proof of purchase inside the return shipment. If the purchase date cannot be established, SVMT will determine the date of purchase as the monitor manufacturing date plus 3 months. (If the manufactured date is March, 2004, the purchase date for warranty purposes will be determined as June, 2004.) SVMT assumes no responsibility for the return of any products without an issued RMA No. It is the consumer's responsibility to assume all risks and costs incurred during shipping of product to SVMT or the service center. SVMT suggests an adequate box and packing material to be used for shipping to avoid damage to the product.
SVMT will not pay for boxes and/or other packaging costs for transporting to SVMT or an authorised service center. Service charges include labour and parts. The service is free if the consumer and the display monitor meet the qualifications of "in warranty". If the consumer and the monitor do not meet warranty qualifications, the service is to be charged. Packaging charges include labor, handling, and packaging materials. Shipping charges include freight, handling, and insurance. SVMT shall either repair or replace the defective product, at its option, and return the product at the expense of SVMT.
THIS WARRANTY TO CONSUMERS, PURCHASERS, OR END-USERS OF ANY KIND, IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MARKETABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT SHALL SVMT BE LIABLE FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, WHETHER INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PURCHASE, USE, OR OWNERSHIP OF THE PRODUCT. PLEASE ALSO REFER TO THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SVMT.
