IRIA 2007
IRIA 2007 is said to be the single largest gathering of Radiologists in India. The 60th Annual Congress of ‘Indian Radiological & Imaging Association’-2007) will be organized by IRIA Maharashtra state branch.

The opportunity to host this mega-event has come to Mumbai after a long span of over 10 years. Mumbai is not just the commercial capital of India, but also the forerunner city for fashion, academic meetings, and entertainment.

Many of you who attended “Roentgen Centenary Celebration” Congress of IRIA held in Mumbai in January 1995 carried fond memories, and await a repeat performance of greater magnificence this time around. To remain true to the expectations of the delegates who decide to attend the meeting, we as the organizers of this conference are making our best efforts to create an event complete with academic fulfillment, cultural activities and exciting programs during the deliberations.

The past few years of experience have revealed that there is a growing need for young radiologists in the country to learn techniques of performing Color Doppler Ultrasound, so as to practice this modality with increasing levels of confidence and improved degree of accuracy of diagnosis. Keeping in view the constant request for such a session, we plan to include one day workshop in ‘Color Doppler Ultrasound’. We are certain that this will further substantiate the content of the scientific academia.

We propose to experiment with the use of electronic media for poster presentation, registration and industry exhibition during this conference and hope to pass on our experience to the organizers of the next conference.
